yael mer and shay alkalay form london-based design collective raw edges. they met at the bezalel art and design academy in jerusalem. afterwards they moved to london to study at the royal college of art, where they graduated in 2006. both were always involved in each other projects. even if a designers live isn’t easy after leaving school they believe that success comes through hard work.
during milan design week the 2 israeli designers present ‘pleated pleat’, a series of paper furniture at ‘craft punk’, design miami‘s performance.
