studio glithero: goes blue

London

Couple weeks ago I visited Studio Glithero – Sarah van Gameren and Tim Simpson in their studio in North London. The Anglo-Dutch duo first met during their Design Products Master studies at the Royal College of Art in London and now run a design studio together in London. Their name is taken from Tim’s mother’s family name. Just because they like it.

During Milan Design Week Gallery Nilufar was presenting their Blueware vases. The vases and tiles are embedded with light-reactive chemicals. Imprints of pressed wild flowers remain on the objects after they are exposed to light. Today they open a solo exhibition called ‘Blueware’ at the Brompton Design District in South London. The show will be probably a space full of white on blue ceramics.
