andré klauser is german and ed carpenter is english. they studied product design together at the royal college of art. in 2005 they set up their own studio called klauser & carpenter when they realised they have a lot in common.
the main reason why I contacted andré is that I am maybe the biggest fan of their louvre light, a nifty suspension light which they designed for london-based furniture manufacturer established & sons.
based in shoreditch, london, in an old industrial building that has been selling picture frames since years, the duo has their studio. surrounded by 2 helping interns and a lot coffee to go cups, the relaxed designers are working on their designs.
