jasper morrison: waits for the bus

Weil am Rhein

Good old Jasper Morrison loves simplicity. The English designer was comissioned to design the bus stop for Vitra‘s Weil am Rhein site in 2006 and he obviously made the design as simple as possible.

Instead of using any of his own chair designs, Jasper has chosen to use 3 Charles and Ray Eames’ Wire Chairs (designed in 1951) for the seating possibility in the 2 stainless steel shelters. A bus stop is ‘just’ a designated place where buses stop for passengers to board or leave a bus. I think this works.
