matylda in bruxelles

so, I am doing a little stopover in bruxelles, the capital of belgium. visiting friends, enjoying various surroundings and still working for dezeen. so why not traveling as long as I can.. in fact I am here since saturday night – (I’ve spend that night in the ‘famous’ cafe central). but there was no scanner around to make my current stay official. and I still had some meetings with designers from london to post.

the diet chip

I am in london since friday, had a great halloween evening at the no. 5 cavendish square hotel, get to know the cold and rainy british weather and didnt see anything designish worth to post. but I present ‘the diet chip’, an invention of stephan siepermann during the dutch design week.

london: you were calling

matylda-back-in-london

call me crazy or scream at me because I cant stay somewhere for long. but I feel home in different places. sometimes I just think that it is just nicer somewhere else. you learn a lot while traveling and meeting people. that’s what I do. london was good – london wants me back. here I come. lalala

2 days in dublin: irish, I guess

you think that you are going for a nice trip to dublin and it ends up to be a the most expensive, cold and wet weekend of your life. don’t get me wrong, dublin is a nice city but we were not prepared for all this. and I haven’t seen anything I really liked or anything that surprised me in the capital of ireland. but we had 1 great night out and 1 day at the sea. at least we spend the last night at the airport because our flight was at 5.30 am. I always wanted to sleep at starbucks – yeah

doughnut: how I want it to be

on friday afternoon I took a flight to dublin, ireland, for the weekend. it’s a short trip from london, takes maybe an hour, but I always like to use my time efficiently. this is my belief of a perfect doughnut. a symbiosis of doughnut and bagle. thank you for the painting book, krispykreme.
