jerszy seymour: the hairdryer and me

Berlin

I am in Berlin for the DMY. This morning Robert Andriessen from designguide.tv and me visited designer Jerszy Seymour in his studio for a video interview and an additional drawn interview.

At the end I told Jerszy that I will go and buy the hairdyer he designed for French company Moulinex. He walked away and came back with a white version of the ‘NS1020 – ZIGZAG’ and gave it to me. He told me that Moulinex produced around 20.000 of the hairdryers and then suddenly decided that they should focus on being a kitchen equipment company and stopped the sales. What a waste. Jerszy saved himself about 50 of the hairdryers and now I own one of the pieces. Thank you, Jerszy. I am very happy to have one of your pieces.
