Iain & ‘Light Bookshelf’, 2010

Iain Howlett graduated with 2 projects at the Design Products department of the RCA. I have seen his paper pulp furniture on some blogs but my winner is his bookshelf.

The shelf is made of a simple wooden frame. You have to put your books in at 30 degrees.

I think the idea is clever and would be useful for many bookstores. What’s nice is that you are able to see the cover in this position. Yes, give the covers more attention, please! Maybe Do you read me? would be interested…
